After 30 years of teaching, where do I begin? 

I have two children (Alex and Meghan), but both are out-of-school, so I am officially an empty nester!  I do have a grand-daughter Peyton who is in second grade, so she keeps me occupied. My partner/husband Jay and I have been together for 24 years now. 

After graduating from college, I got a teaching job at the Onalaska Middle School immediately, and have been teaching in Onalaska ever since.  I have always worked with 5th grade (my definite favorite!).

In my sparetime, I love to read, workout, and restore old houses.

My favorite quote is:  “You can’t hate someone whose story you know.” (Margaret Wheatley), which basically means, get to know who people are!  I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you ... students and parents.
